Cybee is implemented at Nuabee’s clients: a new era for sovereign cloud backup

Since its foundation in 2022, Cybee has been guided by a firm conviction: cloud backup needs to be completely rethought to meet the requirements of today’s European businesses. In 2026, this conviction took concrete form with the start of Cybee’s roll-out to customers of Nuabee, our long-standing partner specialising in cloud backup and business continuity planning since 2014.

Why this roll-out is a major milestone ?

For over eleven years, Nuabee has been supporting demanding organisations, mid-market companies, SMEs and public bodies, in protecting their critical data. This long-term partnership has forged a shared commitment: to offer a cloud backup solution that is high-performing, sovereign and cost-effective.

The roll-out of Cybee to Nuabee’s customers in 2026 represents much more than a technological upgrade. It is the culmination of several years of R&D, testing and industrialisation, with the aim of equipping every customer with a backup infrastructure tailored to the challenges of the coming decade.

What Cybee actually offers Nuabee’s customers

Cybee is a cloud-first solution, built around Restic, an open-source engine renowned for its robustness and performance, which has been used by major international organisations for over 10 years.

Cybee stands out thanks to several key innovations:

  • A single, cross-platform agent: Windows Server and Linux, files and system images, deployed and managed from a centralised console.
  • An intelligent orchestrator: it schedules backups whilst taking into account network constraints (WAN bandwidth), backup windows and business priorities — without the need for manual intervention.
  • Enterprise-grade cloud performance: restoration of up to 3 TB per hour, protection of volumes exceeding 10 TB, and deduplication to optimise storage costs.
  • End-to-end encryption: keys remain under the customer’s sole control, with post-quantum resilience built in from the design stage.
  • Full European sovereignty: designed and hosted in Europe, native NIS2 and GDPR compliance, independence from non-European solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, etc.).

A phased and controlled roll-out

The roll-out to Nuabee’s clients follows a phased approach, designed to ensure service continuity and the development of the teams’ skills. Each client receives personalised support: an audit of the existing system, the definition of backup and recovery plans, the activation of agents, and then monitoring via the Cybee console.

The Nuabee teams, who have been trained in Cybee’s principles since late 2025, provide day-to-day operational support, with direct backing from the Cybee teams for complex cases. Cybee provides the platform and orchestration, whilst Nuabee brings customer proximity and business expertise.

What’s next?

This deployment at Nuabee is a first step. Cybee’s ambition is to expand to other partners and distributors from 2026–2027 onwards, with gradual integrations: new platforms (databases, virtualised environments), enhancements to the multi-client console, and the release of SDKs for integrators.

Cybee is backed by BPI France and is a member of the Hexatrust network, demonstrating its commitment to the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
